Stopping / Viewing Distances

FHOSS works in unison with traditional reflective strips and can be seen in poor weather conditions such as heavy rain, fog & mist. It is ideal from dusk till dawn.

As Fhoss tape does not rely on an external light source, it can be seen from over 300m away. A vehicle travelling at 70mph (110km/h or 30m/sec) has ample warning to slow down which can help towards saving lives. As the chart illustrates, a vehicle has little or no chance of slowing down to avoid a potential hazard and relies solely on the vehicles headlights to illuminate traditional reflective strips.

Additionally, as the the headlight beam of the vehicle is fixed straight ahead, blind spots will occur when the vehicle is travelling round a corner or bend.
