As a market leader of light-based safety systems, we have identified a simple solution to assist with people, vehicle, and plant interface zones. FHOSSHalo Exclusion® Zone lighting uses powerful LED lighting to create a visual deterrent around a vehicle or danger area. The system can be operated manually from a switch, or automatically with light sensors. Straight line or arc shaped units and different colour options enable a variety of configurations that can provide a solution to most types or vehicle or area.
The FHOSS Halo light units are hard wired into your vehicle, draw little power and have a lifespan of 50,000+ hours. The durable cast alloy casing provides a high level of protection to the unit, enabling you to hold the highest standard of safety in inhospitable environments including high traffic areas, ports, quarries and building sites.
FHOSSHalo Exclusion® zone lighting is also used in warehousing and logistics centres where highly visual directional signage is required. Does it work in the day?
Yes and no. It is visible in low light / overcast conditions but not bright light or direct sunlight. Much in the same way that a torch does not work on a bright day
How durable are the lamps?
The light unit is encased in a cast alloy hosing which makes it strong, durable and resistant to minor knocks.
How bright is it?
1000 – 2500 LM
Can it be jet - washed?
Yes but care should be taken to avoid prolonged spray directly to the body of the unit.
Are there other shapes available?
A number of lines can be used together to create a range of shaped exclusion zones.
Does it come in different colours?
Yes, Red, green and blue. Each one is available in short, long and arc variants.
Can it come on automatically or does it need a switch?
It can do both depending on your requirements.
Will it damage my vehicle?
A pre agreed area will need to be drilled to install brackets. High powered magnetic option available.
Will it fit my vehicle?
Most vehicles can be fitted as long as there is a power source to connect to.
Is it waterproof?
Yes, the unit is IP67 rated.
How long does it last?
50,000 hours, outlasting most vehicle leases.
How long is each line?
Short: 3.8m or Long: 4.2m. By placing them together we can draw lines as long as necessary.
Is it road legal?
Red FHOSS HALO systems are perfectly okay to be used at the rear of the vehicle on public highways.

Our highly skilled FHOSS engineers are fully trained and equipped to carry out your install with the minimum of fuss in a professional and timely manner, with as little downtime as possible. We offer both installation and setup of the system itself. In the unlikely event of breakdown, installs and equipment are covered by a 12 month manufacturing defects warranty giving you complete peace of mind. If this does occur, we will endeavour to get an engineer to you as soon as possible ensuring minimum downtime.
We take safety very seriously, and we now have a total of 25 machines – wheeled and tracked – that are equipped with the Halo lighting system says. It is useful for night work, of course, but it also has a value when working indoors on larger industrial building projects. Also when tunnelling or in any area where ambient lighting is poor. We’ve also found the system to be really useful in winter, as it just adds that little bit of extra demarcation around kit before dawn and again, with an early sunset.
FHOSS Halo Exclusion is an innovation that enhances safety for very little additional cost. Those on-site will see the light and not walk across it. It reinforces the thumbs-up view for those working with, and around, machinery.
It looks very dramatic in darkness. When plant machinery is working at night, there is very little light to reflect back from standard prismatic material. This is where companies really benefit from FHOSS innovation as it does not require a secondary light source.
